BSBI Highlights 2013.
Skim through our archive to see what BSBI got up to in 2013. Highlights include:- the publication of new Rare Plant Registers and new Site Floras;
- great progress towards new County Floras, new Viola and Euphrasia handbooks;
- New Journal of Botany going from 2 to 3 issues each year and awarded Journal of the Month;
- BSBI News - still the members' favourite reading material ;-)
- successful exhibition and country meetings, outdoor meetings, and recording weeks;
- excellent Recorders Conference and Training the Trainers;
- local recording groups forming and growing;
- BSBI contribution to the State of Nature;
- winning Best Stand Award (Conservation) at British Birdfair;
- the former 'Plant Unit' going from strength to strength;
- new BSBI videos;
- Brenda Harold's new on-line botany course;
- sterling work by Committees and all.. four... of our Country Officers!
- lively debate at BSBI Council;
- Jane Houldsworth, our new Head of Operations;
- a dynamic new BSBI President at outreach events, on internet Q&As, co-chairing Meetings & Communications Committee, still co-refereeing all orchids apart from Epipactis, still getting out in the field whenever he can. and very effectively being one of two Presidents called Ian in 2013!


Congratulations to all our members who helped make 2013 such a great year for the Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland!
Now, what shall we do in 2014?
