Have you booked yet for this year's BSBI Recorders' Conference

It takes place at The Gateway in Shrewsbury over the long weekend of 2nd-4th September and we have put together a package for you which includes accommodation at FSC Preston Montford, all meals and transport during the weekend.

Talks range from Mark Spencer on recording non-native plants in urban environments to Martin Rand on the Floras of western Europe to Pete Stroh on difficulties in recording rare plants, with examples from his home patch in Northants.

Workshops are a big feature of the Recorders' Conference and on offer this year are workshops on the identification of conifers, forget-me-nots, eyebrights and a vegetative plant ID workshop led by John Poland.

There's also a field meeting on the Sunday to Llanymynech Rocks which supports a rich flora, including Autumn lady's-tresses.

You'll need to book by the 14th of August, so please take a look at the full programme here and let us know if you'd like to join us.
